Physical Therapy

Physical Therapists provide a professional physical therapy services to physically disabled clients including evaluating, planning, and providing therapeutic treatments. To include some of the following:
  • instituting therapy as prescribed by physicians
  • establishing measurable therapy goals and objectives
  • evaluating motion, motor skills, functional activity, and manual test of muscular strength
  • administer various tests to assess physical handicaps
  • plan and provide therapeutic treatment services for physically disabled students
  • confer with students, family, and teaching staff to coordinate and facilitate a comprehensive treatment plan
  • teach students, parents, teachers, and family the use of special equipment and specific exercises designed to provide corrective measures
  • may advise and/or work with parents regarding the home environment
